It is our intention to provide exceptional value for money, and guests are impressed with the quality of the cuisine, with the emphasis on good traditional Scottish cooking.
Our food is freshly prepared, using only the finest locally sourced produce. Our 5 course table d'hote dinner menu offers a choice of three starters, 3 main courses and 3 puddings, all of which are changed daily, and feature the best of Scottish beef, lamb, salmon, trout, duck etc.
Our double and twin bedrooms are attractively furnished, and all have en suite facilities, television, tea and coffee hospitality tray, radio alarm clock and hairdryer. Every room enjoys a magnificent view. Foxholes is centrally heated with an individual heater in each bedroom.
With just 7 bedrooms, we are able to give personal attention, and have created a warm, friendly atmosphere in which our guests feel relaxed and pampered.

The Oban area
Oban is the ideal base for a Scottish holiday, and is known as the 'Gateway to The Isles'. From here, ferries sail to the islands of Mull (travel on the steam railway), Iona (famous for its Abbey), and Staffa (with the famous Fingal's Cave). Just a few of the places within easy driving distance are Fort William, Glencoe, Inveraray, the Mull of Kintyre and Mallaig.

The Hotel grounds and surrounding area offer many enjoyable walks, or guests may prefer just to relax on our terrace and enjoy the magnificent views. Oban itself has an award winning sandy beach, public swimming pool, 18 hole golf course, squash and tennis courts, and a bowling green. Other activities include trout fishing, cycling, birdwatching, diving, horse riding, sailing, sea fishing and many other pursuits.

Heading south from Oban on the A816, Foxholes is well signposted. Just over 2 miles from the town, turn right where indicated and follow for a further ½ mile then turn right again.
